My Creative Space

My first ever attempt at shirring and it was surprisingly easy! One of those things that has always looked so daunting so I have steered clear of in the past, how silly of me.

This is going to be a summer top for the little one.

More loveliness here.

  2. Oh, I would love to learn how to do that! I love shirring as a waist band -- always seems so flattering. What kind of garment is this?

  3. That looks fantastic. Very clever. What a pretty little dress it's going to make.

  4. Looks great! It at least appears a very difficult thing to do but you seem to have mastered it nicely for this garment.

  6. You can really get on a roll with shirring - watch out its addictive. Can I ask did you handwind the elastic onto the bobbin or use your machine - I find my elastic snaps sometimes, someone told me to handwind the bobbin to avoid that - but it sounds so tedious!!

  7. Isn't shirring fantastic. I gave it a go for the first time this year too... why didn't I try it earlier? I'm addicted!
