Summer
We have spent this morning cutting all our lavender to dry. The littlies love this task, Muma cutting, Holly bunching and the little one generally just having a blast running round with sprigs of lavender. By the end, we have quite a few good bunches. Which when dry, will I am sure, find many uses in our home. And as an added bonus, we all smell like lavender today, gotta love that.
If you have a seasonal post of your own, please link up.
that sounds like such a lovely activity, I can picture you all, what sweet memories they'll have whenever they smell lavender..
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely thing to do together, I bet you all felt calm from the scent when you were done:) I love your seasonal posts
ReplyDeleteI am loving all your seasonal posts!!!
ReplyDeleteThats reminded me that I wanted to dry some lavender this year. Where do you put it to dry it out? And do you hang it upside down?
ReplyDeleteI LOVE lavender
ReplyDeleteKatie, I leave mine until it is quite dry on the plant before picking then I lay it flat in the sunroom to finish off. Seems to work well for us as I have no where to hang it.
ReplyDeleteMmmm, we've been picking ours to. I hang mine in the kitchen and it dries quickly and looks/smells nice whilst it dries. Then the girls love to stuff little bags we have and hang in their cupboards - or fill little vases we've picked up at second-hand stores.
