My Creative Space
If a picture paints a thousand words then this picture would have tell of little angels with trumpets singing a chorus of 'allelugh', while fireworks explode in the background. Why? Because I baked something and it actually worked!!!! It is not burnt AND it tastes good. You might remember a few days ago I told you about how terrible I am in the kitchen. Well I cracked out my new cook book today, Holly and I made these chickpea and chocolate chip cookies. Sounds like an odd combination eh? But they actually taste really nice- kinda nutty. Best of all, my little picky eater wanted seconds.

ReplyDeleteGood for you! I'm glad you didn't give up trying to bake. I'd love that recipe if it's available. What a clever idea to put chickpeas in a cookie!
ReplyDeleteIt does indeed sound like an unusual combination! But sometimes it's the recipes that sound unusual that are actually the best. Yum! x
ReplyDeleteI've always had an aversion to chickpeas - maybe this recipe would convert me, though!
ReplyDeleteTruth is always stranger than fiction - I love grated carrot, salad and peanut butter sandwiches on Vogels. Perhaps my family will believe they are actually rather good now I know there is an actual cookbook in print that uses chickpeas and chocolate in the same recipe! Yah for seconds :)
ReplyDeleteYum, I love chickpeas and choccie so these would be perfect in this house. We did some baking too, but just plain ole choc chip bikkies here :)
ReplyDeleteThey look really yummy! Chickpeas too...you've created the closest thing to a healthy bikkie. Will have to try them for sure. Hope you have a wonderful weekend :)

ReplyDeleteHooray! But my house is still trashed, that doesn't seem fair somehow :)
ReplyDeleteThat sounds interesting and delicious. Well done. I love both chickpeas and chocolate but have never tried them in a combo situation. Something new everyday!
