A baby shower

Yesterday was a good friends baby shower. It was a lovely afternoon with silly games and afternoon tea of club sandwiches and cupcakes- very ladylike. I have been making a conscious effort for the last year to *try* to make my gifts rather than buy, so in accordance with this, I made the above baby shower gift. The knitted top is a Milo vest by my favorite designer Tikki. The bunny was inspired by this bunny on Kelly's blog Reclaiming me and the pattern was from here. I even made the gift bag by downloading the paper pattern from the net!

  1. I love the colours you've used - isn't it great to give a completely handmade gift?

  2. That is a gorgeous gift, I love the bunny & vests are my weakness (sadly my boys are starting to reject them)...

  4. It is great to give home made, you just hope the recipient realises how much love goes into making it.

  6. Absolutely gorgeous. I LOVE that bunny and the knitted vest is beautiful. I shall have to look up the designer when I'm not running out the door. We are about to become Great Aunt's and Uncles so I believe some knitting is in order!!!
