One thing that surprises me living here is how amazing the night sky is. I am embarrassed to say that when I lived in the city, I never really noticed the night sky. But here, with so little light pollution, the night sky lights up like a christmas tree. The full moon last night bathed the entire landscape in a gentle silver glow, so much so that I had to stop my car on the way home just to stare in amazement at the silver ripples stretching out to oblivion on the lake. It truly was a sight to behold.

Lovely. We live out of town and I am often gazing at the sky. Cx
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful photo Lou! I love the night sky (though I live close to the city so there are 'sigh' not too many stars visible). I love that you stopped to take this photo :-) Becks x
ReplyDeletevery cool. i love the moon.
ReplyDeleteHow amazingly beautiful. I love staring at the night sky. We live near the south coast of Wellington, with very little light pollution, but have to say I'm rarely out and about at night to appreciate it - better in the winter when it's dark early and then I enjoy it with the children in the early evening :)
